Frontier Airlines is a budget airline with its hub at the Denver International Airport. It is also wholly owned by the airline holding company; Republic Airways Holdings which also owns other airlines. It boasts of having one of the newest fleet of aircraft in North America and after sixteen years in existence, it is now the second largest airline operating out of its hub at Denver International Airport.
Frontier Airlines operates a fleet which is an all Airbus affair. Its fleet consists of 51 aircrafts which have a two year age average. These aircrafts are Airbus A319 which are 38 in number, four Airbus A320 as well as nine A318s. These aircrafts service over 50 destinations in the United States, Mexico and Costa Rica.
Frontier Airlines’ Maintenance Department has consistently won the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) Diamond Award in recognition of its quality and class of training the airline provides for its aircraft maintenance staff.
Frontier Airlines has also distinguished itself through its theme design on the tail of its aircraft. The airline chose to use wildlife as a theme and with the compelling design applied, it has come to be recognized for over 50 various wildlife designs on the tail of its planes.
