Today all airlines are security conscious but not one so much as
El Al Israel Airlines, the national carrier for Israel. Security with El Al is top of the line and most pilots were once Israeli Air Force pilots and there are sky marshals on most flights (and that’s not even the half of it on security features), but comfort in coach class seat leaves a lot to be desired, especially on the long transatlantic flights.
Business class is worth the extra money and many times they offer business class specials, sometimes almost half the regular cost. El Al really isn’t a global giant of an airline only serving 38 destinations worldwide from their Tel Aviv hub but now with their code share agreement with American Airlines they’re able to serve more destinations especially within North America.
The good thing with El Al opposed to other airlines, if you cancel your tickets there’s usually only a minimal cancellation fee to refund your tickets, unlike most other airlines that charge you an exorbitant change fee and you can only use your ticket for future travel. So kudos to El Al for their cancellation policies!
