V Australia, a long haul air travel provider based in Sydney Australia, is also known as Virgin Blue International Airlines Pty Ltd. The commercial airline is fairly small, offering travel to only 7 destinations: Brisbane Airport, Johannesburg International, LAX, Melbourne Airport, Nadi International Airport, Phuket International Airport and Sydney as their base of operations.
The fleet of aircrafts is made up of four Boeing 777-300ER class jet airliners, with additional aircraft on order for purchase and lease to increase travel and destination additions. V Australia is looking to add new destinations as quickly as possible, and is looking toward Japan, Southeast Asia and additional North American destinations.
V Australia offers standard class accommodations in economy, premium and business classifications with appropriate amenities to each class. All classes offer mood lighting relative to the time of day with in flight entertainment via touch screen and handset control providing video on demand to each passenger. The upper level classifications have larger touch screens for video services and USB ports to power laptops and other electronic devices as well as workstations with laptop/pc power.
The airline participates in the Velocity Rewards program launched by Virgin Blue. This program was the first of its kind to offer "any seat any time" rewards to the members who had accumulated enough points. The Velocity Rewards program won recognition in 2009 for the Best Frequent Flyer program for the fourth year in a row by the Freddie Awards.
