Continental Airlines


Continental carries with it the slogan "Work Hard.  Fly Right.  They are a United States based airline, with their company headquarters built in Houston Texas.  Continental is rated as the fourth-largest supplier of air travel within the United States, and operates leisure as well as business flights to locations throughout Canada, Europe, Latin America, the Asia-pacific regions and of course, the United States.

As of 2009, Continental has a large fleet, over 330, made up entirely of Boeing class jets with the most commonly used jet being the Boeing 737-800, which can carry over 150 passengers.  Continental has almost 120 of these models, with plans to add another 9 jets during 2010.

The cabin classes available on Continental flights includes Business First, Domestic first, Business International, International Economy and Domestic Economy with a variety of perks and food benefits that vary between the class’ chosen. Continental offers Audio and Video on demand on several of their Boeing jets, as well as DirectTV and wireless internet services.  These services are free to first-class passengers, and are available as a charge service to economy class flights.

They are recognized as the first commercial airline to make progress in "Going Green", conducting numerous tests in 2009 to change over to biofuel as opposed to traditional Jet-A1 fuel.  The company has made efforts to minimize green house emissions by investing over $12 billion for the purchase of 270 more fuel-efficient aircraft and related equipment.
