The full name of Biman airline is Biman Bangladesh Airlines Ltd. It is owned by the government of Bangladesh and is the nation’s flag carrier. Bangladesh became independent in the year 1971 and Biman Airline started its operations in 1972. At present their fleet consists of 11 aircraft which are made up of one Airbus A310-324, one Airbus A310 -325, two Boeing 737 -800, one Boeing 777 -200 ER, two Fokker F -28 MK 400 and four McDonnell Douglas Dc-10-30. They are expanding their fleet and have placed orders with Boeing for 12 new aircraft.
The airline’s motto is “Once Biman always Biman”. They offer comfort and hospitality to their passengers and safety, friendliness and care are the other points on which they focus. Biman offers flights to Europe, Gulf, South East Asia, the Middle East, Far East and South Asia and are planning to expand their list of destinations and are currently working on agreements with others.
