An airline hub is an airport that airlines use as a point of transfer for getting their passengers to destinations that are not serviceable through direct flights. There are many different airline that use different airports as their hubs. Most hubs are also international airports. These hubs will also have a large volume of domestic flights as well. There will literally be hundreds of flights that leave daily with flights leaving at all hours of the night and day. Flights from hub airports do tend to be more economical as there are so many flights and the airlines are able to make savings available for the passengers.
