An airline alliance is a win-win situation for both the carriers as well as the passengers. The airline alliance is an agreement between at least two or more airline carriers to cooperate on several different levels. This cooperation means that there are several advantages to the consumer. Some of these advantages include lower prices, more departure times and shorter travel times. The three largest passenger airline alliances are Star Alliance, SkyTeam and Oneworld.
