The aircraft itself has evolved over the last few decades. There are so many different types of aircrafts from small charter planes that only carry a handful of people to the Airbus A380 which is the largest passenger airliner and is capable of carrying and transporting hundreds of people at once.
It is not uncommon to be able to watch your favorite movie, have a five star meal and have all of the modern conveniences of your home all aboard a commercial flights. There are even airlines that have sleeping cabins on their flights. These sleeping cabins are especially convenient for those that are traveling great distances on international flights. Even the coach cabins are more spacious and roomy and not the cramped quarters that you may imagine when flying in the economy class. There are even phones on board as you are not allowed to use your own cellular communications on board.
