Air Mauritius

Air Mauritius started kicked off operations in June of 1967 and is the nation’s flag carrier. They offer direct flights to several European, Asian, African and regional destinations and are known to many for being dedicated to serving their valued customers with a professional and caring attitude in the true Mauritian style. To further enforce that, Air Mauritius has been the recipient of various awards including their recent win as the Indian Ocean’s Leading Airline.

The airline’s fleet consists of 10 aircraft including: two A340-300E, four A340-300, two A319-100, two A330-200 and two ATR72-500. Along with offering flights to over 25 regional destinations, Air Mauritius also flies to Europe, Africa and Asia.

Flying with Air Mauritius is said to be quite an experience as this airline takes its responsibility of being an ambassador to the island seriously. As such they operate based on their concept of being like “an island in the sky”.

Great attention to detail has gone into the design of their airplane cabins from the décor to the music played onboard. They also enhance the passenger’s unique experience by offering all of the amenities possible, including an advanced entertainment system with touch screen video monitors on each seat, in-flight telephones, route map video and more.
