Air Macau, whose proper company name is The Air Macau Company Limited, was formed in September of 1994 although they didn’t commence operating commercially until November 1995 when the inaugural flight took off from Macau destined to Shanghai via Beijing. China National Aviation owns a major part of the company which whose headquarters are situated in Macau.
Their current fleet consists of a total of 16 aircraft which includes; seven Airbus A321, two Airbus A320, five Airbus A319 and 2 Airbus A300-600R Freighters.
Their list of destinations include; Beijing, Chengdu, Guilin, Nanjing, Shanghai, Xiamen, Hangzhou, Nanning, Osaka, Manila, Seoul, Bangkok, Kaohsiung and Taipei. Air Macau passengers are also now able to enjoy the perks of being a loyal passenger thanks to their frequent flyer program, Privileges. The program which can be applied for by anyone two years of age or older (yes, two years of age!), offers different tiers based on the amount of miles the passenger accumulates. The more you fly, the better your privileges.
Air Macau boasts an untarnished safety record with no reported plane crashes or fatalities involving an Air Macau aircraft since its start more than a decade ago. They completed the IATA Operational Safety Audit in March 2009.
