Africa airline scene

eGuide selected hotels

In Africa, airlines are planning to stay dominant on the continental routes. How do they plan on doing this? They are purchasing new planes and expanding the old ones. They are expanding the routes that are available to fliers and making sure that the planes they already have are upgraded and ready for luxury.

This is significant evidence of the competition that is being experienced in the African travel market. The tourism board of Uganda has said that they expect to hit over $800 million in tourism by the end of the year. They believe that it could have been higher but that lack of growth in the airline industry was holding them back. The capacity was stretched to its limits and the infrastructure was in desperate need of updating. Airlines are confident that with their updates to planes and buildings, and the newly purchased planes, they will see an increase in revenues over the next few years.
